Medical Education Registrars

Medical Education Registrars (MERs) are typically registrars from varied specialties and vocational training pathways, who work within the Postgraduate Medical Education Unit at a health site. They assist and support the development and delivery of high-quality medical education for junior medical officers.

The MER Network Group provides MERs with the opportunity to meet, network, share ideas, keep abreast of projects and trends, and cooperate across sites in the interest of supporting prevocational medical education. This document outlines the general duties and responsibilities of a MER.
